All members must adhere to the Currency Requirements associated with their applicable certification level and or status.

2. Professional Conduct

All members are expected to:

  • Demonstrate professionalism and integrity.

  • Respect local cultures and communities.

  • Uphold environmental stewardship, minimizing ecological impacts.

  • Follow industry-recognized safety standards and best practices.

3. Conduct and Ethics

Members agree to:

  • Prioritize the safety, well-being, and satisfaction of all clients.

  • Respect local cultures, customs, and laws.

  • Adhere strictly to Leave No Trace principles.

  • Avoid actions that may harm wildlife or degrade natural environments.

  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.

3. Instructor and Training Provider Regulations

Licensed IAJG training partners must:

  • Deliver courses in strict accordance with IAJG curricula, standards and currency requirements.

  • Undergo regular audits and quality assurance assessments.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of courses and candidate assessments.

  • Report annually to IAJG regarding course performance, student feedback, and incidents.

3. Enforcement and Compliance

IAJG reserves the right to:

  • Conduct periodic audits and quality reviews of instructors and training providers.

  • Issue warnings, place instructors or members on probation, or suspend certifications for violations of rules, regulations, or ethos.

  • Require corrective action plans for reinstatement.

4. Ethos

IAJG members embrace:

  • A commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Leadership by example, demonstrating competence, responsibility, and respect.

  • Dedication to sustainability, education, and stewardship of tropical rainforest environments.

  • Collaboration, sharing knowledge, and fostering a community of skilled jungle guides worldwide.

4. Code of Conduct Summary

Members and certified instructors pledge to uphold IAJG ethos:

  • Professionalism in every aspect of guiding and instruction.

  • Safety as the top priority.

  • Environmental stewardship, protecting the integrity of ecosystems and biodiversity.

  • Continuous learning and skill improvement for themselves and their peers.

Use of IAJG Logos, Trademarks, and Digital Media

Authorized Use:

  • Members in good standing may use IAJG logos and trademarks on their professional materials, websites, and social media channels to indicate certification status, membership, or official partnership.

  • Digital media provided by IAJG—including images, promotional videos, training resources, and graphics—is available exclusively for promoting certified IAJG-related activities, expeditions, and courses.

Prohibited Use:

  • Modifying IAJG logos, trademarks, or digital media without explicit written permission is strictly prohibited.

  • Use of IAJG branding or media for misleading, unethical, or unrelated commercial purposes is forbidden and constitutes a violation of IAJG policies.

Attribution and Intellectual Property:

  • IAJG retains full ownership and intellectual property rights of all logos, trademarks, branding assets, and digital content provided to members.

  • Members must clearly attribute IAJG-provided materials to IAJG in public-facing communications, publications, and advertisements.

Compliance and Enforcement:

  • IAJG reserves the right to review and audit member usage of branding and digital media at any time.

  • Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in disciplinary actions, including warnings, suspension of certification, revocation of membership, and potential legal action.

These regulations ensure IAJG’s brand integrity, credibility, and professional image remain strong and respected worldwide.
